Dry Van (in other words the ‘General Purpose’ container) like all other types of containers is the standardized multireusable tare intended for transportation of goods by highway, railway, sea and air transport.
The main convenience of any container is its intermodality – i.e. possibility of change of the mode of transportation without reloading a cargo from one container to another. Dry Van is intended for transportation of commodities in bundles, cartons and boxes, loose cargo, bulk, furniture, etc.
High Cube is one of the types of containers for cargo transportation. High Cube containers differ from standard General Purpose containers in the increased height. Thus, it is possible to tell that High Cube containers have the increased capacity so they are intended for transportation of any type of cargo which dimensions are not exceeding container dimensions.
Most often they are used for transportation of the lungs occupying large volume of goods and also for transportation of goods, up to 2,7 meters in height. High Cube in the same way as Dry Van is convenient to transport commodities in bundles, cartons and boxes, loose cargo, bulk, furniture, etc.
Flat Rack container is applied to transportation of cargo of huge or non-standard dimensions. As a rule, Flat Racks are useful for transportation of specialized machinery (excavators, tractors, cranes, various lifting equipment, the military equipment, etc.).
Many customers use Flat Racks for sending substations, transformers, the boiler equipment and mini-plants. Most often Flat Rack containers are used for transportation of forest products (logs, bars, fellings), large and lengthy ferroconcrete products (beams, farms, piles, colon), pipes, sheet and steel coils. For transportation in Flat Rack containers are often used various fixing devices.
Original design of the Open-Top containers considerably simplifies the process of their loading. In particular, the open roof allows conveniently filling, lowering goods from above by means of lifting equipment.
Open-Top containers are intended for transportation of any type of cargo. They are irreplaceable for transporting high bulky goods which can't be thrust into containers of other types. For example, Open-Tops are used for transportation of special or extra-size equipment, sheet glass, marble, construction materials and timber.
Transportation of perishable goods demands use of special transport equipment. The container refrigerator Reefer allows safely delivering the cargo sensitive to temperature conditions. In most cases Reefers are used for sending on a long distance the most of perishable products, in particular, fishes, meat, sausages, dairy products, confectionery, vegetables and fruit. Perfumery and cosmetic products also demand low temperature during transportation.
As a matter of fact the Reefers are no more, than heat-insulating cases mostly made of polyurethane or aluminum. Freezer itself can be mounted both inside and outside container's body.
